Chants de Noël - Des anges, encore… Vom Himmel hoch, o Englein kommt

Ce chant, attribué au théologien Friedrich Spee (1591-1635), a été publié en 1622. Il s’agit d’une adaptation d’un autre chant de Noël, très populaire alors, “Puer natus in Bethlehem“. Tombé dans l’oubli, il est redécouvert par Friedrich Hommel qui le publie, en 1864, dans son recueil de chants religieux “Geistliche Volkslieder aus alter und neuer Zeit“ (Chants populaires religieux des temps anciens et modernes).
